A study of the 结构 and function of the human body. Special emphasis is placed upon correlating 结构 with function in an examination of the human body from the cell and cellular 新陈代谢 level to the complex systems level. 实验室是 correlated with lectures and includes exercises of cell and tissue 结构 and function and exercises covering and integrating the microscopic and gross anatomy of the integument, 体膜, 骨架, 发音, and muscles with their corresponding 身体功能.

A continuation of BIO-211 in which attention is given to the 结构 and function of biological integrating and control mechanisms and mechanisms for processing, 运输, 分泌, 和消除. Emphasis is given to body maintenance response to external and internal stress. Laboratory exercises cover nervous, 内分泌, 消化, 循环, respiratory and urinary 结构s and processes in maintaining homeostasis.

生物321. General Microbiology (3-4 Credits)

This online course will guide students through body systems to gain an understanding of basic pathophysiology. Students will review concepts of basic body function and how each system adapts to stress. To complete lessons, students must have their own device capable of running downloaded applications.

This course will discuss the basics and principles of the study of human growth and development across the lifespan. A topical approach will be applied or study the physical, 认知, 社会, and emotional systems as they are embedded in historical and cultural contexts, and their specifics in particular stages in life. Students will develop an understanding of the methodological and epistemological basis, of historical and recent theoretical framework and applied aspects that are central to the study of developmental psychology.

 

数学107. Introduction to 统计学(3学分)

This course is a non-calculus-based study of statistics, including descriptive methods, 基本概率论, some design and data-collection issues, and procedures for statistical inference. Topics on statistical inference include confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for means and proportions along with chi-squared tests. Emphasis is on set-up and interpretation rather than on computation, with a significant reliance on computer software and/or statistical calculators for the "number crunching" portion of the analysis. Students may not receive credit for both 数学107 and MATH 117. 数学107 includes all content in MATH 117 except ANOVA, and consequently moves at a slower pace than MATH 117.

SOC 101. Introduction to Sociology (3 Credits)

A comparative and historical analysis of human societies.
